Yes this is possible, but "Add Request Pending" means that you are waiting for him to accept your request, if he doesn’t accept, it will stay there.
You can instant message people from Yahoo! messenger over MSN, no problem, but you will miss out on a lot of the features besides "nudging" or "buzzing."
So ask your fiance to add you as well, and if this still doesn’t work you both delete each-other and one of you add the others ID email.
