go to download.com and look in the games section. use the filter to find all the free games and take your pic. they have screenshots and reviews on most of the games up for download. its parented by cnet and has good games no viruses.
also newgrounds.com is also good its all flash and has cartoons and lots of games but browser based. but you can play anytime you want.
