How can I keep msn messenger from displaying xbox status?

Everytime I connect to xbox, everyone on MSN messenger, including my employers, can see that I’m online playing. Can I shut that message off somehow?

Yes you can. click on your gamercard on the Xbox Dashboard, go to the Auto Sign-In menu option, then under Windows Live Messenger select "Disabled". Hope that helps!
