Try backing up your ipod and then formating it
or
just go on the internet with your ipod touch and get any free app and download it. It should appear on the place where all your apps are supposed to be
hmm im not sure…thats strange. taking it to ur apple stores probably the best bet

i would go to the apple store or give them a call.
My ipod did the same thing a while back, and all i did was picked the app i wanted from the app store and downloaded it, then went to settings>wi-fi and then turned it off then back on while it wasnt done downloading yet
