How do I stop Yahoo Messenger from loading inside Yahoo mail?

Whenever I login to Yahoo Mail, a chat box will pop up. Is there a setting to prevent Messenger from loading within Yahoo Mail? Thanks!

On the left hand side, set the messenger to be offline and it will stay that way every time you log into your mail. You cant get rid of it, only stay offline. It won’t stop offline messages from popping up though. This is the feature of the new yahoo email and you cant completely turn it off!
Click the arrow next to "Available" at the top, and click sign out. It’s different than signing out of Yahoo! Mail.
i don’t know the answer. i would like to know how to go back to the way it was
