If I uninstall my iTunes, will all my downloads/music and the authorizations be deleted?

People say if u uninstall and then install that it will help move along this terrible thing with the 2.0 firmware upgrade… but will it reauthorize my computer that my friends authorized? Will it delete my music/downloads too? I just do not want it to come back and bite me in the butt.

No don’t uninstall itunes, apples servers are down and uninstalling itunes will not do anything to get you the software update any faster.
in your itunes, click file then backup to disk.
it may take a few cd’s, but you will have all your song’s files in one place.
Then when you reinstall itunes, put in one disk at a time. Go to file import. At the top pull down where you select the file, click my computer and find the CD.
Just so you know though, you may need to know your password you use to buy music through itunes to get your i tunes songs back, but you won’t have to pay for them. You can only do this on a total of 5 computers too.
hope i helped!
