Im trying to start my own blog. What is a good way to get people to read it and to make it interesting?

I will be talking about a few different things and wanted to know how do you keep in interesting and how do you get your blog to be popular and read by a lot of people. Just general tips will be helpful. Thanks!

the best option if u r serious is to make your own blog website……………eg http://www.candiceblogs.com or candice.com etc….when searched in google, It will reflect directly at the top of the searches…………….If u r interested , i can do it 4 u…………..lemme know………..mail at scool@sify.com ; scool2college@yahoo.com
You might want to check some free sites like Blogger, Word Press, and Live Journal. They provide free software and hosting.
Choose good words for you meta tags.
Try and get other sites to link to your blog.
Submit your site to Yahoo: submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request.
I think Google and MSN have similar sites.
1.register on my blog log[yahoo].it will automatically promote your blog
2.promote it on social networking as friendster,myspace,facebook
3.join twitter.also automatically show your blog update
4.change link with the other blogger.u can left your link when u visit another blog
5.be another blog follower
6.if u use instant messenger,put your blog link as a status
7.makesure the content is good
As you may know a domain name is just a name, not a real website. If you are going to create your blog site: 1- Buy a domain name. To get a domain name, you have to pay an annual fee to a registrar for the right to use that name. 2- Buy a web hosting service to provide your online space and enable you to get your website online at your purchased domain name.
If you’re going to start your blog at your own domain with different pages, you need a web host providing wordpress.
