instant message?

i can’t seem to be able to read any received messages sent to me on my instant message. i get part or sliver of the received instant message box. many times the received box is blank but i can tell some one sent a message

Just try downloading the instant messanger again
Which version of Windows are you using? Which version of Yahoo Messenger? make sure you are using right version to match each.
Maybe your aren’t signed on.
