iPhone 3Gs screen problem?

I recieved a white iPhone 3gs 16gb for Christmas and have not had any problems with it. Today I noticed that when I push the center button to light up the screen to view the lock or wallpaper screen, the sides are lighter than the rest and quickly fade to the color of the rest of the screen. After that the screen looks absolutely awesome! I have not had ANY problems with this phone.. But this screen thing is really worrying me.

You could be pressing it too hard which will be pressure in the screen thats all. But keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then call customer services they should be able to sort it out if its under its 6 months warrenty.
try resetting it in itunes. if no good take a visit to your nearest mobile phone store and ask them to have a look. i have a 3g and they are just awesome =]
