yes you can get yahoo messenger for mac.
for windows live messenger, however you have to download microsoft messenger for mac.
personally, i would recommend adium when you get your mac.
it’s the best messenger i’ve ever used.
For Windows Live Messenger, you have to get Microsoft Messenger (which is the same thing, really):
