I have developed an instant messenger application that uses sockets with XML protocol for communication. I am using port 443 as it’s usually open on firewalls. However on firewalls with DPI it’s detected and blocked. The firewall is blocking the outgoing communication, the server is in the public domain, the problem is with the client. How do I make the messenger clients not to be blocked by firewalls?

I need to download full PC games for free not demos. And in my school the firewall prevents torrents from working. Can anybody please tell me where can I download for example Medieval 2 total war without using torrents? Or, can anybody tell me how to skip that firewall that prevents me from using torrents ?

Ok here’s the problem. I live in a college dorm and the IT office here does not allow peer 2 peer downloads. I can’t even download torrent files in my dorm room. I tried an older version of BitTorrent last year which surprisingly worked, but this year, nothing works. Nil. Any help. Any cracks available that can help me break through this firewall?

I’ve had it for ages, never had a problem with it, but I recently had to reformat my computer and since doing so it won’t let me download msn. It gives no reason, just says ”unable to install”. I have tried disabling my firewall while i download it, but that didn’t make any difference. Is there anything else I could try? (I have XP, and everything I have is up to date)

My Itunes Store won’t open.
It gives me the message "Itunes could not connect to the Itunes Store. The Network Connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again."
I don’t even know what it means by my network settings. I have no idea how to change them or where I would find them on my computer. I also have no idea how to find my firewall to see if it is blocking Itunes.
Someone please help me.

Every time I click the ‘Download’ button on the MSN website to download live messenger, I just get the ‘Internet Explorer cannot display the web page’ screen, but my internet is working fine for everything else. Maybe it is something to do with a firewall or internet settings, but I don’t know! Please help!

I’m using a bit torrent software (azureus) to download music albums, but for some reason it is extremely slow; because I share a wireless modem with my brother. He told me his can only have the firewall released, so downloads are not problem for him. Is there some way I can reroute the connection so it goes to me? I don’t want to ask him because he will defintiely say no. If not, then what other programs, besides limewire, can I download music albums without worrying about a firewall?
