I’m running Windows XP Pro on one of my older PCs. Can I download and run the newest version of Windows Live Messenger on it? I ask because I’ve heard that the older Windows Messenger cannot be uninstalled.

On my administration account I can save my message history.
On the guest account, enable option has been greyed out.

I just installed yahoo messenger on my computer, and it works fine on one of my user accounts on windows xp. On the other account, though, it doesn’t. If someone instant messages me, the IM window opens, but their message is not displayed. When I send them a message back, they get it and it is displayed on their computer, but it still doesn’t show that any messages have been sent or received in the part of the IM window that displays the ongoing conversation. What could be causing this?

When my computer goes on Yahoo messenger loads and prevent other programs from running while it loads. After it loads it slows my computer up. I am running Windows XP Professional.

when i start windows (XP) it takes forever to load.after it starts up, it starts loading on the bottom right-hand corner a few programs. among them is yahoo messenger. i looked in msconfig and it is not listed there for startup. also "my documents" opens every time i start my pc.any clues?

How come i cant download windows live messenger?
When i go to windows live messenger (http://get.live.com/messenger/overview) and click the "click free" button to download, i cant download it and a popup message says this:
"Sorry, windowslive programs cannot be installed on windows server, windows XP professional x64 edition, or windows operating systems earlier than windows XP service pack 2"

What is going on here? How can i get windows live/msn? I know i can get msn web messenger but it is not good as it lags very often. Before i reinstalled my whole computer msn windows live was good to go, but now that i have reinstalled my computer this pop-up keeps saying no can do. Please help

Hi, i have a HP pavillion a310 computer and it runs on windows xp home edition, now i’m trying to download windows live messenger for my kids, but it won’t let me download the newest version, i have a version and it won’t let me use it because I "have to install newer version to continue" it tells me to check system requirements!

Can anyone advise me on what i can do?

How do you get Runescape Cursors? I have tried cursor mania, and everything else (including google, but when it ried that it took me to cursors and i gto excited, but when i clicked on the one i liked, it just took me to IWON because i already have cursormania installed). I have a windows XP.

I was trying to down load a wallpaper of a cute pumpkin for Halloween,on my desk top…But it was so small it was like an inch square so i wanted to delete it …but it wont go away! i tried right clicking and deleting it but it doesn’t give me that option and i don’t know the files name so when i down loaded a new wall paper its shows up right on top of my new desktop pic , i have a nice Christmas tree with a small pumpkin right on top ..its just not working PLEASE HELP I have windows xp if that will help?

I have Windows XP, with two wireless USB mice; currently, the mice can both control one cursor. Trying to move both at once just locks up the movement.

so i have windows xp service pack 3 and umm for themes i had to download and install UXTheme Multi-Patcher then i just dragged themes to my themes folder

so ui notice theres a cursors folder

so how do i apply cursors do i need to install something like for cursors
