Each messenger shows some of the other’s contacts, but it won’t let me IM between the two, and I can’t be signed on both of them at the same time. I just want them both back where they belong. Yahoo contacts with Yahoo and Windows Live with itself.
I just installed yahoo messenger on my computer, and it works fine on one of my user accounts on windows xp. On the other account, though, it doesn’t. If someone instant messages me, the IM window opens, but their message is not displayed. When I send them a message back, they get it and it is displayed on their computer, but it still doesn’t show that any messages have been sent or received in the part of the IM window that displays the ongoing conversation. What could be causing this?
I installed Yahoo messenger 9 and now when I’m in a conference with other users the text they type is not showing up to me but what I type shows up to them. I’ve restarted my PC, reinstalled Messenger, I even created a new account that worked for a while but now it’s doing the same thing. I have no idea what could be causing this. Anybody know? Sometimes when I’m in a conference it shows what I type twice, I don’t know if that’s relevant.
When my computer goes on Yahoo messenger loads and prevent other programs from running while it loads. After it loads it slows my computer up. I am running Windows XP Professional.
I just want to delete my yahoo instant message account and start over. I think that will be the easiest way to fix all the problems I’m having.

I’ve gone to yahoo and clicked on Messenger. After it downloads the program I open it to install the program. I then get a message stating that messenger can not be installed due to the firewall. After making the change to allow yahoo messenger through the firewall, I get the exact same message. Please help.
i am using xp, and all of a sudden i am not getting yahoo mail or able to sign into messenger. anyone have a similiar problem?
I never use Windows Messenger because I don’t like the interface. Also seems like there’s always a ‘port’ problem using a router. I DID download MSN messenger but took it off - as actually I liked yahoo’s messenger better. Is the Windows Live Messenger replacing the Windows Messenger in Windows or is it a separate piece of software - like MSN was.

I just got a Samsung Freeform and on alltel’s website it says that it does have an instant message capability. My old phone you just went to the yahoo/aol icon put in ur username & password & it logged you in. each chat message just counted as a text message. This was 1 of my favorite features on my last phone, but I cannot seem to find it on this phone. does anyone know how to find it?
when i start windows (XP) it takes forever to load.after it starts up, it starts loading on the bottom right-hand corner a few programs. among them is yahoo messenger. i looked in msconfig and it is not listed there for startup. also "my documents" opens every time i start my pc.any clues?
