Many, may be millions, Yahoo Messenger clients in the world may connect to the YM Server at the same time via TCP IP. How could this achieved?

On my yahoo messenger, under my name, it shows the question I asked on yahoo messenger and what time I asked it. How can I turn this off? I don’t really want everyone on my contacts to see the question I asked. Thanks!

I just downloaded Yahoo Messenger for Mac 3.0 beta, and have been having problems trying to use my avatar in Yahoo messenger. I click the silhouette icon and a drop down menu comes down with My Display Image and My Profiles. When I click My Display Image, a box with the Display Image settings pops up and I click to use avatar and i get sent to the Yahoo Avatars page.

I’d like to change things so that when I click on a link in a Yahoo Instant Messenger window, the link opens in Firefox and not Internet Explorer. How do I go about changing that?

And how do the people who sent you a message find you and or view your yahoo messenger profile?

Okay, I got a brand-new laptop for Christmas. I got my internet at my grandmothers house, and my dad took it away from me for some reason. My aunt was helping him to try and brighten the screen, and dad turned the laptop off. He gave it back to me. The icons were huge and my screen saver was black. I got my screensaver again and my icons and text back to normal, but now there is no color icons or bars or anything on ANY website I go onto. On facebook, I can see the pictures, but the blue spots aren’t there. On yahoo, the logo is purple. but the signature icons of the auto, dating, answers, movies, OMG! aren’t there.
The text on yahoo answers is black and blue, but the signature green background isn’t showing up. Everything else is normal. I want the color back! I went to help and support, but got to answers. My crusor is a big, black, blinking box. All my programs work right and have the color they always do. But all the sites on Internet Explorer are white, purple, blue and black. No color or icons or animation. Videos and pictures still have their color.
My computer was screwed up after my dad used it. Please help, no haters!

The new features of yahoo messenger allow IM conversations to be saved under history. Can I email some of those messages to a yahoo email address (not my own)?

My friend has a macbook that we know nothing about and she needs to use some programs that she has downloaded, one of which is Yahoo Instant Messenger. How do you use a prgram that has been downloaded???? I have heard that Mac/Apple is good but so far nothing on her laptop works without a lot of trouble.

I’m trying to install Yahoo Messenger 10 or 11 on Windows XP (SP3) and continuously get errors saying that "This application didn’t install (or start) correctly because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem." It doesn’t. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled a number of ways (normal, safe) and continue to get the same error. Has anyone else seen this problem?

1. I am using the Yahoo Inbox chat box. I want to use Yahoo Messenger, if I install it, do I have to invite all my friends from the my list for the Yahoo Inbox chat box?

2. Secondly, if I use Yahoo Messenger and become online, will my friends on the Yahoo Inbox chat box see me as online or should they also install the messenger to chat with me?

Ok so one of my friends seems to be able to email me through his yahoo. I have hotmail and I always use instant messenger when I’m on my computer. I have tried to tell him before but he gave me excuses not to like "I’m too lazy" and "I don’t know how" how do I convince him?
