I recommend ventones too! Its a cool site. They have trailers and clear steps for all phones.
* basically u can upload and convert any audio file into a ringtone.
It can be an mp3 file , itunes file , or any other format
* http://www.ventones.com/video-tone
Or after u sign up , use that link to make any ringtone from any YOUTUBE video.
Really neat!
Thanks to http://www.zedge.net/, you dont have to even use a USB cord!
Ive been using Zedge on my Blackberry for 2 years, and now on my Droid, and its all free. No sign up, no pay, no nothing. You dont even have to select what phone you have, its all universal when it comes to the Ringtones. Themes and wallpapers, of course, need a selected phone.
All of the listed ringtones are free, and there are a bunch of them. When you find the one you want, you can select for it to be:
1. Download straight to your computer
2. Sent as an SMS text with a download link
I give this site a 5/5. Its easy, provides (usually) really nice ringtones, and its free. So why go through the hassle of USB, when you can send a text straight to your phone.
If youre worried about the possibility of being spammed, scammed, or having texts sent to you over and over for fear that theyll spam your phone, let your fears be vanquished. From personal experience, they will NOT do so. They simply send you the download link on your phones browser, and thats it. I have not received any "extra" texts from using this trusted site.
Hope this helps!!
