Why do my mouse cursors switch themes when I restart my computer?

I’m using a custom cursor theme with cursors I’ve downloaded from the internet, but when I restart my computer, it switches back to the default cursors when I restart my computer. What’s going on and can I stop it?

One explanation why this is happening could be that the programer who
wrote the software didn’t do good job and cause what is known as a program bug.
Often the creator of a program will release a fix known as a patch to remedy a bug
in his program later after it was released. To get the patch you usually can get it from the creator’s web site. A patch can also be included in an update that the programer offers for free.
Check to see if there is an update for the cursors you’ve downloaded from that web site. If none are offered then delete the program and try another web site that offers a similar program. Eventually you will get a better one that may not have that bug.
